„CPT“ steht für die Cape Town Open Education Declaration, die vor zehn Jahren unterzeichnet wurde. Daran erinnern Mark Surman (Mozilla Foundation) und Philipp Schmidt (MIT Media Lab), die dabei waren. Pünktlich zum Jubiläum und zur UNESCO Open Educational Resources Conference in Ljubljana gibt es jetzt CPT+10, „an effort to look back at the work of the last ten years, and point forward, by mapping out ten “action points” that the movement considers important for the next decade of our work“.
Die Autoren heben drei Punkte besonders hervor: „Empowering the Next Generation“, „Thinking Outside the Institution (Box)“ und „Copyright Reform for Education“. Und sie weisen auch darauf hin, dass das Thema OER kein Selbstläufer ist: „There is a lot to be proud of. But we have not made anything near to the progress that we’d dreamed of. Not even close.“
